I heart Keenwah Quinoa Clusters-Your New Snacking Addiction + a GIVEAWAY

As I am sure many of you know at this point I have gone gluten free (I have only mentioned it in every post this month!).  I have been on the lookout for healthy snacks that are not a processed food replacement but also aren’t sacrificed on flavor. My coworker had stumbled upon these crunchy quinoa clusters on a recent trip to Wyoming and she shared a handful with me. I was quickly in love. The only problem was she couldn’t find them anywhere in NJ. So my one handful was just a snacking tease.  I do want to say that I tried these quinoa goodies well before my “diet” began so they are not just a good gluten free pick they are an all around tasty nosh.

I looked up the company, I heart Keenwah, and found out they are a relatively new company and their product has not yet gone completely mainstream (although if I had to guess…it will be very soon!).

I shot off an e-mail to the team at I heart Keenwah letting them know how much I enjoyed their product, asked where I could find them to purchase, and inquired if they would want to collaborate to share their product with my readers. Not only did I get a gracious response on all accounts, it was from the co-founder of the company. Now that is customer relations! I was both shocked and excited!

They sent me a care package of some additional flavors of their quinoa clusters to try and a set of packages to give away to one lucky reader!

I wanted to share my tasting notes on the snacks I tried. I was definitely not disappointed. In fact, it only made me hope more that these quinoa clusters start appearing in my local grocer. My boyfriend was eating them by the handful (clearly he enjoyed them as well) and I had to stop him for fears I wouldn’t get to indulge anymore once they were gone!

I heart Keenwah snacks are not only addictive they are a healthier snacking option. They use all organic or natural ingredients (There are very few ingredients listed on each package which is always a good sign!) and they are gluten free of course. They are also all dairy free with the exception of the Chocolate Sea Salt flavor.

Here was my tasting experiences:

Almond:

These were the crunchiest of the bunch. They are nutty (whole almonds are mixed in) and grainy. It’s almost like a not as sweet version of peanut brittle. They were the most simplistic in flavor of the 4 I tried but they were actually one of my favorites.

Chocolate Sea Salt:

These are a great option to satisfy your sweet tooth. The chocolate is not overwhelming but it’s just enough to kick a craving. Also, the hint of sea salt is definitely apparent in these (in a good way).  A great sweet and salty combo.

Peanut Butter Cocoa:

Another great sweet and salty duo is the peanut butter cocoa clusters. There are definitely sweeter than the chocolate sea salt clusters. I loved that the peanut butter flavor tasted like it came directly from ground peanuts (which it does according to the label) and not an overly sweetened mixture.

Cranberry Cashew:

These were hands down the favorite in my household. The package was practically gone in one sitting. The dried cranberries give the cluster a little chew to them and some tartness. I also LOVE cashews so the combination was a big winner with me.
