Hi Everyone,

September has arrived. It’s not only my birthday month (!!!), but it’s also the wind down to summer and the kickoff to cool autumn days. The first half of the month is filled with the last of the seafood festivals and beach-side events. The latter part of the month is the introduction to harvest related festivities. So enjoy one last weekend at the seaside and then welcome Fall with open arms. 🙂 

September 5th– 4th Annual Taste of Bordentown; Bordentown, NJ: This outdoor event will give the opportunity for people to sample local restaurants. September 5th-7th -BBQ and Craft Beer Festival; Oceanport, NJ: Start your Labor Day weekend off right at one of Monmouth Park’s 3 day BBQ and Craft Beer Festival. With over 15 participating local BBQ joints and food purveyors you won’t leave hungry. You’ll also get to sample 10 beers out of over 40 choices for just $10. September 12th– Chocolate Lover’s Feast; Cape May, NJ: This is the chocolate lover’s ultimate meal. There will be seven (yes, seven!) courses of chocolate creations by the chef at Blue Rose Inn and Restaurant. The chef will even be explaining each of the dishes as they are presented. September 12th-13- AC Seafood Festival; Atlantic City, NJ: Make one last trip to the beach for this festival and you’ll be happy as a clam. September 13th– Taste of Atlantic Highlands; Atlantic Highlands, NJ: Two words….Trolly Hopping. Get around town to taste at each restaurant by Trolley for the afternoon. September 13th – 3rd Annual Pig Roast; Bernardsville, NJ: Come out to support the local Bernardsville Fire and Rescue at this fun Italian Pig Roast! You’ll not only get to indulge in the fresh pork but meatballs, gelato and pizza will also be in store for attendees. September 18th – Que by the Sea; Seaside Heights, NJ: The ultimate BBQ competition by the ocean will be taking place in just a few weeks. Competitors from around the tri-state will compete in four categories, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. September 19th– Festival of the Sea; Point Pleasant Beach, NJ: A street and sea fair for the whole family! There will be over 200 crafters, kiddie games, live bands and more. September 19th-20th – Back to School Laurita Food Truck Festival; New Egypt, NJ: Laurita Winery has made a name for themselves for hosting food truck festivals. September 20th – Fall Harvest Festival; Ringoes, NJ: Old York Cellars is hosting their annual kickoff to the harvest season. For $15 you’ll get to take their winery or bee keeping tours, take a hayride, and enjoy the kickoff to the new season. September 26th– South Jersey Wine and Food Festival; Mays Landing, NJ: Take a stroll down Ed Hitzel’s Restaurant Row and take your pick from one of the local restaurant’s culinary delights. Sip samples in the wine garden or attend one of the food seminars. http://www.waterfrontwinefestival.net/

September 26th – Hanover Street Fair and Duck Race; Pemberton, NJ: The Good Will Fire Company is putting on its 3rd annual community event. The kids will love to spend the day visiting the petting zoo, seeing the farm tractor show, watching the duck race, and going to kid’s corner. September 26th- Malus Domestica Celebration at Crystal Spring’s Resort; Hamburg, NJ: Malus Domestica is also known as the orchard apple. This seasonal celebration will include opportunities for guest to sample the different varieties of apples in cider and cocktail forms. There will also be a four course dinner from Executive Chef Anthony Bucco while head mixologist, Stephen Thomas, leads discussion on the signature cocktails to be served. September 27th – Jersey Fresh Wine Festival; Columbus, NJ: Come join 10 New Jersey wineries for the first fall weekend.
