September has arrived. It’s not only my birthday month (!!!), but it’s also the wind down to summer and the kickoff to cool autumn days. The first half of the month is filled with the last of the seafood festivals and beach-side events. The latter part of the month is the introduction to harvest related festivities. So enjoy one last weekend at the seaside and then welcome Fall with open arms. 🙂
Tomorrow marks the first day of August. I know, I can’t believe it’s here already either. But rather than dwell that the last full month of beach weather is here; I’m going to make the best of the time I have left. New Jersey certainly won’t make that hard with all the food centered events coming. August is all about Jersey produce and seafood. It’s definitely the common theme across most of the events state wide. Eat as much corn, tomatoes, and clams as you can get your hands on in the next few weeks!
As we celebrate this upcoming weekend, remember to take a second to reflect on just how lucky we are to live in this great country! On that same note I love some of this month’s upcoming events because there are so many that embody the culture of New Jersey and all this state has to offer!(NJ Pride!) From Jersey corn, to our wines, to our fresh seafood and even our efforts towards charitable endeavors; they will all be celebrated this July. As always…get those calendars ready!!!
Why hello May-you’re here, you’re here, you’re finally here! Can you tell I’m just a little excited for the warm weather arrival?? By the outlook of all the festivals and food truck events this month, it seems like everyone else is just as enthusiastic at the prospect of being outdoors. From border to border NJ is going to be drawing some big crowds and dishing out tons of delicious regional food this month. As usual…get those calendars ready!
Hooray for April…it means that Spring is finally here! And although it may not fully seem like it yet (It actually snowed in my town last night) we will see warmer days in the very near future. This is exciting for a number of reasons one being, outdoor activities. You’ll see on this month’s lengthy list of happenings that the food trucks that hibernated all winter are back in full force, wineries are moving events to the outside, as well as fairgrounds kicking off their warm weather schedules.
Now that the colder weather has arrived the foodie fun events are starting to move indoors but that definitely hasn’t slowed down the volume of exciting experiences ahead. This month wine events are in abundance along with a star studded Atlantic City culinary event and a way to give back through food during the holidays. Its the time of year for friends and family so get out there and enjoy!
Here is this month’s edition of Foodie Happenings Around the State. This month there are quite a handful of winery driven festivals as well as some seasonal produce inspired events. I hope you’ll get out and enjoy some of these happenings. Summer is too quickly coming to an end so make it your duty to get out there and make the very best of what’s left!!
This month’s edition of foodie happenings around the state is sure to have something that catches your food fancy. Everything from ice cream festivals to whole weekends dedicated to lobster highlight the lineup!
I’ve decided to bring you foodie happenings around New Jersey monthly. It has become a ritual for me to check out what is going on around the state so I can find fun things to do. I thought it would only be fair to share it with all of you in case you want to join in the fun as well!
