Hello Everyone,

As we celebrate this upcoming weekend, remember to take a second to reflect on just how lucky we are to live in this great country! On that same note I love some of this month’s upcoming events because there are so many that embody the culture of New Jersey and all this state has to offer!(NJ Pride!) Fireworks and Foodtrucks-July 5th-Jackson, NJ: This free event is sure to have the whole family dancing with joy. July 10th-12th– New Jersey State Barbeque Championship; Anglesea, NJ: Start licking your lips now in preparation for this lip-smacking good time. Cooking demonstrations, BBQ tastings, craft beer, competitions and so much more can be found at this weekend long ode to barbeque festival. July 11th – Barefoot Beer Fest; Wildwood Crest, NJ: This festival is the embodiment of summer. It’s located on Diamond beach and involves drinking craft beer from over 50 breweries (did I mention its unlimited pours!?) July 11th-Trucks, Truck, Trucks; Cherryhill, NJ: Do you love trucks? This is your event!! Trucks of every shape and size will be funneling on to the Cherryhill public library lawn for an afternoon of food , fun and charity. Attendees are asked to bring gently used clothing, household items and toys for the Green Drop Donation Truck. July 11th– What Exit Wines Summer Festival; Ringoes, NJ: Old York Cellars and What Exit Wines are proud supporters of the Hometown Heroes charity.  They are hosting this fantastic summer event and donating all proceeds to benefit Hometown Heroes. July 11th– 12th – Alba Winery Food Truck Festival; Milford, NJ: Scenic views, good wine, and great food-what could be better? This NJ winery is hosting the perfect summer event to just sit back and indulge. Wine tastings are $10 but attending is free.  http://www.albavineyard.com/calendar.php

July 16th– Bastille Day Wine Cellar Dinner; Hamburg, NJ: Crystal Springs celebrates Bastille Day, the French national holiday marking the start of the French Revolution (July 14), with a French wine dinner in the resort’s Wine Cellar. The event kicks off with a wine and canapé reception in the Wine Cellar at 6:30pm before guests sit down to dinner at 7:30pm. Chef Bucco has created a four-course menu that highlights French techniques and American seasonal ingredients.  It will also showcase the breadth of French winemaking regions with selections from Alsace, Loire Valley, Bordeaux, Rhone Valley and Champagne from the resort’s award-winning fine wine collection. Wine Educator Becky McNulty will lead a discussion of the wines during dinner. July 17th – Jersey Corn Celebration Dinner at Escape Montclair; Montclair, NJ:  Bryan Gregg, Chef and Owner of Escape Montclair and a leader in the New Jersey local food movement, announced that he is hosting two dinners this summer focused on two of the most popular produce items harvested in the Garden State – corn and tomatoes. July will be the corn celebration. July 18th – Blue and Brews Festival; Asbury Park, NJ: Greetings from Asbury Park! Visit this beachside town for an afternoon of blues with their all day concerts and brews at the large beer garden. July 18th-19th– Barrel Trail Weekend; NJ wineries across the state: Do you want to learn more about how wine is made? Take this unique opportunity to support our local winegrowers and get an insider’s glimpse of the wine production process. July 22nd-26th – Monmouth County Fair; Freehold, NJ: I grew up in Monmouth County and have had the pleasure of attending this massive fair event! This fair has something special for everyone. Bring the kids to see all the animals, try your luck at one of the festival games, take flight on the carousel, watch some of the home and garden competitions (i.e. cake decorating contests), and eat all the fantastic fair food (I would love some cotton candy or meat on a stick right now!!) http://www.monmouthcountyparks.com/page.aspx?ID=2492

July 24th-26th -33 Annual QuikChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning; Readington, NJ: Come see the spectacle in the sky that is the New Jersey ballooning festival . Not only do you get to see balloons of all shapes, sizes, and even characters take flight but; it’s truly a full day event of activities.
