This month’s edition of foodie happenings around the state is sure to have something that catches your food fancy. Everything from ice cream festivals to whole weekends dedicated to lobster highlight the lineup!

Summer Fest; Ringoes, NJ: July 12th – Old York Wine Cellars and What Exit Wines are hosting a charity summer festival to benefit Hometown Heroes and Sandy Relief. Portions of the proceeds from event tickets and wine bottle sales will be donated. Admission includes a wine tasting and souvenir glass. There will also be opportunities for winery tours. Front Porch Blue Grass Festival and Pig Roast; Chester, NJ: July 12th– Here’s another fun and free admission afternoon for the family. Gazebo Park in Chester will be the site for a very musical afternoon. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets, and your hunger! Blues, Brews, and BBQ; Morristown, NJ: July 12th – The Morris Museum is putting on a summer event to remember. Get your tickets now ($35 in advance) for an evening of what they describe as, “Finger lickin’ BBQ, Ice Cold beer, and Smokin’ Hot Blues Bands”. Bradley Beach Lobster Fest; Bradley Beach, NJ:-July 12th-13th– The town’s chamber of commerce is putting on the food event of the season. A day at the beach never tasted so good! The festival runs all weekend and will feature Lobster everything! When you aren’t stuffing your face with your favorite seafood you can take a wild ride down the giant waterslide, hit up the beer garden, or browse the hundreds of craft and specialty vendors. New Jersey State Crab Festival; Wildwood, NJ: July 19th– This free event screams family fun. The kids will love the crab race, the adults can enjoy the outdoor live entertainment and beer garden, and everyone will love the crab inspired dishes and food vendors on site. NJ State Ice Cream Festival; Toms River, NJ: July 19th – I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! Here’s your chance to cast your vote for the New Jersey ice cream shop you think best encompasses the title of Best Ice Cream in New Jersey! After you’ve made your decision sign up for the kid’s or adult’s ice cream eating contest, take the kid’s to the inflatable rides, or take a listen to the live entertainment. Food Trucks and Firepits; New Egypt, NJ: July 19th-20th – Laurita Winery has found their niche with hosting food truck festival events. This month’s event will have 25+ trucks and of course wine tasting and live music will accompany the food. The admission for this event is $8 but a portion of the proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). The admission also includes shuttle service to the winery and on-site tours. Red Bank Food and Wine Walk; Red Bank, NJ: July 20th – Red Bank is kicking off a limited summer series walking food tour event. For the next 4 months, every third Sunday will be dedicated to celebrating this cool little town’s food culture. Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival; Atlantic City, NJ: July 25th-27th – Caesar’s Hotel is hosting a food bash to remember at the end of the month. Food stars like Martha Stewart, Robert Irvine and Marcus Sameulson will headline the events. Buy tickets now for intimate three- course meals, the rooftop cocktail party, a beach soiree or workshops with the celebrity chefs. 20th Annual ClamFest; Highlands, NJ: July 31st– August 3rd– The 4 day event will feature delicious seafood from a variety of local food merchants.
