Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe 3 Ways

Raise your hand if you’ve made your obligatory visit to the pumpkin patch or apple orchard! Everybody is doing it, including me. So I wanted to share a recipe for how to use up those pumpkin seeds post-carving. Just roasting them with sea salt is fine and tasty but, I’m giving you some new ways to bring these little bites to life! So here it is, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe 3 Ways.

First, lets talk the preparation basics. You’ll need a pumpkin, carving tools, your hands and a strainer.

Once you carve off the stem top of the pumpkin it’s time to dig in. Roll up your sleeves and start pulling out the pumpkin pulp and seeds. Do your best to separate the squash from the seeds. Once you’ve accomplished that, you need to rinse your seeds. Add them to a trainer and rinse until all remnants of the squash have disappeared. Now you’re ready to deck them out for snacking.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds 3 Ways


  • 2 Cups (approx) Pumpkin Seeds
  • Chili Lime
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • juice from one lime
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • Everything Bagel
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, Melted
  • 2 Tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning (Trader Joes)
  • Coco-Coconut
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil, Melted
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut


  1. Preheat oven 300 degrees.
  2. Rinse pumpkin seeds through strainer. Let dry about 15 minutes.
  3. Toss with Butter, Oil and/or Lime Juice depending on chosen variation above
  4. Add in powder/spices depending on chosen variation above.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes.
  6. You're ready to SNACK!
